WOUDENBERG is designed by Toronto based Emily Woudenberg. Emily designs both the clothing, and the jewellery while completing short films and artistic photoshoots in relation to each collection. Designer Emily Woudenberg has been designing cloths for a year. Emily attended school for visual arts, and attends Sheridan College for graphic design. Having designed a collection collaboratively for Alternative Fashion week a year ago, Emily has continued with designing building her personal aesthetic and defining her individual brand. What resulted was clothing that is androgynous and expressive. Over the past year Emily has gained recognition within the press, featured on BlogTO and Textstyles, quoted as “One of the best from Alternative Fashion Week” by Fashion Magazine Online, and Top five at F.A.T by Front Row Mag for her 2011 collection. This season Emily was a feature on Oh So Cosmo on CosmoTV with Joe Zee, Creative Director for Elle Magazine and character on MTV’s The City, said that Emily is ..
.“Fresh and Innovative” and explains “it was very creative in a very wearable way, I actually love the jewellery, it could literally be on a runway at a show I could go to in New York or Paris.”
Also, this season Emily was a top 20 finalist in the Mercedes Benz Start-Up selected thoughout Canada. Judged by a panel of 7 people including Montreal designer Marie Saint Pierre, the FDCC, and a representative from Fashion Magazine, amonst others. In conclusion Emily Woudenberg is showing some custom made signature concrete bracelets and necklaces at LG Fashion Week in Toronto with Label Clothing.

BUFF S/S 2012 @ EWAGallery
Gallery Style Presentation at the EWAGallery. Showing S/S clothing and jewellery. The collection features several key details including; handmade concrete accessories to show where graffiti art is born, and hand made silk-screening graffiti print patterns. The overall concept of my collection is to capture the grungy yet sophisticated aspects of the graffiti movement, while maintaining a fashion
forward feel that is both expressive yet practical.
Penrose F/W 2011 @ Alternative Fashion Week
Penrose designed by Emily Woudenberg, is the designers first independantly designed collection. The impossible staircase inspires the theme for this collection and film, otherwise known as the Penrose Stairs: an impossible object created by Lionel Penrose, used in M.C. Escher’s Ascending and Descending. The idea of fashion as an infinity, reflects the continuous seasons, and re-cycling of inspiration.
Ottawa Fashion Week @ the National Gallery of Canada
ReformCollective by Emily Woudenberg & Anastasiya Kuyevda. The aim of ReformCollective is to conceptually hold multiple aesthetic tastes rather than one, drawing upon multiples styles to gain more insights into this particular aesthetic experience. Reflecting artistic inspiration, or creative process, and the speed of which fashion is moves between trends.
